The Health & Wellbeing specialization will introduce you to the major concepts underlying health and wellness. You will learn the fundamentals of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences and how they can be translated into innovative diagnostic and therapeutic tools. You will be taught about the latest breakthroughs in the medical field and how new technologies, biotechnologies, digital technologies, AI and robotics, are addressing challenges in the field such as cancer, metabolic diseases, healthy aging, or the impact of climate change on our health.

The specialization presents health in a holistic approach; besides the biological and chemical mechanisms and the compulsory medical aspects of health, you will also learn about mental wellbeing, food, sport and lifestyle components of health, and how individuals can become more informed health consumers in the future.

Last but not least, you will be confronted with the business side of the Health & Wellbeing sector; an industry that is heavily regulated and for which you need to acquire specific skills in regulatory affairs, intellectual property, project management, ethics, marketing… to optimize your chances to innovate.
